May Practices begin on Monday, May 8 and will take place Monday-Thursday each week. Note: no practice on the last day of school (May 25) or Memorial Day (May 29)! Full practice schedule can be found here: https://tlhtidalwaves.swimtopia.com/practices

Age Group is your swimmer’s age as of May 31 - if you are unsure, their age group is listed in your Swimtopia account.

Weather: Text@tlhswim to 81010 to join Remind101 to receive last minute updates due to weather. We make best efforts to hold practices and meets but will adjust based on current or forecasted weather.

Attendance: We hope swimmers attend as many practices as they can, but we are not tracking attendance. Please join us when your schedule permits!

Gear: Swimsuit, goggles & towel. Swimmers may wear any suit for practices. During meets, plain black - or black and yellow - swimsuits are requested: one-piece suits for girls and “jammers” for boys. Please bring goggles to practice! Coaches will no longer be able to loan out their personal goggles for those who forget.

Coaches: We have a phenomenal group of coaches who are heavily invested in hosting a fun but instructional environment. Please do not discuss any concerns with coaches during practice as we want their eyes on the swimmers in the pool. There will always be someone available at the coordinators table who can assist.

Volunteers: We need more help this year to pull the season off. If you can help in big OR small ways, please reach out. Specifically, additional help is needed to “staff” practices in May. This simply entails being at the coordinators table to assist parents and being available should a pressing or emergency situation occur. Also, if you are interested in taking over as a coordinator next season, please reach out! 

Pool Hours: Reminder that the pool is still CLOSED outside of swim team practices. This includes the lower deck/kiddie area. Only Tidal Waves swimmers have use of the pool until the HOA opens the pool for seasonal use.
